We are going away at Christmas to spend time with my family so Santa was kind enough to bring the cats their gift early.
The tree is from ZooPlus and for the price it is really good (£59). I have to say there are a few little cosmetic problems with the wooden surfaces so I can’t recommend it 100% if you’re looking for something super fancy. That said, it is a really sturdy great tree and the cats started using it before we’d even finished building it. They love the height (Pixie especially) and they’ve all had a good scratch at the posts.
Molly is being cheeky and telling Arty she won’t share.
The lovely folks at Purrfect Box were kind enough to send the cats some boxes to review. Purrfect box is a monthly subscription of a box of goodies for your kitty
As soon as I opened it Arty was straight in there..
…and when I say straight in there, he jumped right on into the box. It’s the perfect size for him so he was super happy.
This box is the summer box and comes with Hello Cat treats, a catnip scratching block, a valerian heart, some vitamin paste and a laser pen. You can read more details about the contents here.
Pixie decided she would test the treats and the paste and I think she found them both delicious as she kept asking for more.
Molly was on toy testing. She couldn’t decide which to play with first so played with both the block and the heart. The wooden block has slots in to put catnip and scratchy bit on top. The heart is stuffed with valerian. Video was the only real way to show quite how much Molly liked them. She also loved the laser pen but moved way to fast for me to capture her playing with it, she is crazy for that red dot.
Per month the boxes are £19.90 which is a little more than other boxes I’ve seen but if you subscribe for the year it’s only £15.90 a month which is much better value for money. It’s such a great way to treat your kitty and they will get lots of enjoyment from it, ours certainly have.

I like being nosey and I like cat stuff so if you’re anything like me you might like this post. We have a *lot* of cat stuff in our house. I say we, I admit it, it’s me. Daz loves cats but doesn’t find the same excitement in a new cat cushion or planter as I do.
I thought I would share with you some of the things around our house. This is only a fraction of it. I could probably do weekly posts and not run out of things to photograph till next year (by which time I would have acquired more).
I adore books so it’s only natural that we have quite a few cat books. There are more somewhere in a box that’s still not unpacked too.

I got these super cool cats from Porkchopshow on Etsy. They are cute paper images adhered to wood and laser cut. I love them, some of them are so adorable!
I’ve made some of them into brooches, I’m not sure what I’ll do with the rest but I’m sure I’ll find a use for them.
A hot glue gun and some brooch backs and they’re easily made into brooches.
What would you make from them?
I got my phone upgraded today yey! From an iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4S – so happy about how much better the camera is! So a new phone means I need a new phone case, here’s a few that I’ve found. I can’t decide!
I have looked into getting one custom-made with my Doodlecats on but they’re very expensive. I drop my phone a lot so I don’t really want to spend £20-30 on something that’s just going to get scratched.
I love this, it’s really cute, but I think it would be too bulky. I can’t see that fitting in my pocket!
Black Cute 3D Rilakkuma Cat Hard Back Cover Case For iPhone 4S
This one isn’t quite so cute but a much more streamlined version of the previous one. It looks much more practical.
iPhone 4S Kutusita Nyanko Cat Case
I’ve seen lots of these in different colours and I think they’re adorable. Like the first case though, I think I’d get annoyed with how bulky it is.
3D Kiki Cat For iPhone 4S Silicone Case – Sky Blue
I love the illustration on this case and the seller has lots of different ones. So adorable!
Ecell – Lazy cat iPhone 4S Case
There are hundreds if not thousands of cases with cat photos on and they are lovely. I think if I had a case with a photo on it, I’d want it to be a photo of my kitties.

Most of the time I live in t-shirts so Threadless is one of my favourite sites to get clothes from. Daz has got a pretty big collection of tees from there too. I like that they continuously add new designs and have such varied artists creating artwork for them. One day I might get up the confidence to submit some designs myself.
Here’s some of my favourites at the moment. Click on them to be taken to their page on the Threadless site
